What we saw

Most bananas in India suffer from poor handling and malpractices during ripening, which leads to a deterioration in quality.
One of the biggest problems is the widespread use of carbide in the ripening process. Carbide is a harmful chemical that accelerates ripening, but it poses serious health risks to consumers. It can lead to various health issues, including digestive problems, skin irritation, and even more serious long-term effects like cancer etc.
